About Habitus Mind
Habitus Mind is a private personal system built in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. One account holds six modules: Fitness, Finance, Network Tracker (a personal CRM for the people you meet), Numerology, Debrief and Council, a panel of six AI advisors. You type or say things in plain language and it writes the structured record.
1. What Habitus Mind is
Habitus Mind is one private account for the parts of a life that usually go untracked, or get tracked badly in several different places: the people you meet, what you eat and how you train, where the money goes, and the decisions you keep circling. Everything goes in the way you would say it out loud, and comes back as a record you can find again.
It is built and run in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and works in English and Chinese.
2. The six modules
- Fitness. Weight, meals and workouts, logged the way you would say them, and scored against your targets. No barcode scanning.
- Finance. A ledger and a budget: categories, tags, recurring items and a CSV import that flags duplicates before you commit them.
- Network Tracker. A personal CRM for the people you actually meet. Photograph a business card or describe who you met, and it writes one record per person, adding each new encounter to the same record.
- Numerology. A birth date folded into twelve numbers rather than one. The calculator is free and runs in your browser.
- Debrief. Three questions in twenty minutes: where the day differed from what you expected, what caused it, and one commitment you can be checked on tomorrow.
- Council. Six AI advisors answer one question independently, review each other anonymously, and a chair writes the verdict.
3. Who it is for
People who already keep track of several of these things badly, in several different places. If you have a spreadsheet for money, a drawer of business cards, an app for food and nothing at all for the decisions you keep circling, this is the shape of the problem Habitus Mind was built for.
4. How to get in
Habitus Mind is free to start. Create a free account with your email address and you are in within a couple of minutes; the pricing page shows what the Free plan includes. For accounts for a family or a team, use the form on the homepage or WhatsApp. The numerology calculator needs no account at all.
5. Your data
What you log stays in your account. Habitus Mind does not sell personal data or share it with data brokers or advertisers. Some features send content to Anthropic for processing by its AI models, and fitness entries are treated as health data. The privacy notice sets out exactly what is stored and where it goes, and the security page says how to report a problem.
6. How we check what we publish
The numerology articles on the blog are checked against the same code the free calculator runs before they are published, and a mistake we made is corrected in public. How we verify our numerology content explains the process.
7. Contact
Use the form on the homepage or WhatsApp at +60 12-210 4914. Both reach a person directly.
8. Who built it
Habitus Mind is built by its founder, Yap Pat Yih, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and every post on the blog is written by him. Before building the Fitness quick-log, Yap Pat Yih tracked his own food for about four weeks by describing each day in a chat. The numerology checks on the methodology page are run by the author against the same code the calculator uses. Section 9 is the story of why it exists, in his own words.
9. Why I built it
I used to think of myself as a systematic person, the kind who logs everything, until the day I got so tired of logging that I stopped completely.
The habit started early. From about fifteen, around 2000, I took photos and videos and kept them on a hard disk. I got that from my father, who did the same in the film era, when the only way to keep a photo was to have it developed and hold it in your hand.
Around 2010 the hard disk aged, and one day it died. I managed to restore about 80% of the photos. The rest were corrupted, half an image gone. I started paying for cloud storage, but I could only afford enough for some of the photos, so I had to choose which memories to keep. When I could afford more, I uploaded all of them to Google Drive. Around the same time I started recording my finances in a Google Sheet, keeping every receipt and keying it in one by one. I kept that up for five years.
Around 2020, after some years working as a software engineer, I asked myself why I was paying for someone else's cloud when I could buy a server and run my own. After a few months of development I had an internal system just for me, at half of what the cloud drive cost, with all my files on it. Photos and videos were fine. Finance was not. I was too lazy to key in receipts, and the sheet fell behind.
In the past year, with AI, I asked whether all of this could be automated. Everything is cashless now, so instead of receipts I upload the monthly credit card, debit card and e-wallet statements, and the system keys in every line for me. I cannot count how many hours that has given back. Getting older, health became the next problem, so I had the AI build a food and workout log too.
In the last few months the question changed. Could AI be my analyst, not just my hands and legs but my brain? Now it reads my finance and fitness situation back to me. I noticed the people around me had the same problems, all uncles and aunties already, so I started Habitus Mind and got them on board.
Does it really help? For me, Habitus Mind has become a second mind. The longer we talk, the better it knows me.
With ideas from friends and family it has grown. Network Tracker keeps the business cards and the people I have met. Numerology is guidance, a way to understand my own journey and the people who matter to me. Debrief is where I ask what I did wrong and whether I am just escaping. Council is for when one AI friend is not enough and a group should debate the question.
I do not know where this ends. I believe it is the beginning, and that I will get better and stronger day by day, the same as my second mind.
